The title says it all... I'm ripping my DVDs to store on my hard drive. I notice vob's are a little bigger than mkv's after ripping. Is the quality the same? My only complaint with vob's is sometimes you can't move ahead in a movie.

What's better? Vob passthrough or Mkv passthrough?

The video quality is identical, since it is not re-encoded (passthrough), and the size should be almost as large as the original I would test one that has forced subs, they sometimes do not behave correctly using the Passthrough mode.Supplying DVDFab Logs in the Forum ...........................User Manual PDF for DVDFab v11................................
