Can't rip a backup copy. Both say they are protected. Also, I ripped my Knives Out and it plays for about 5 minutes and then says the movie is protected.

When you have problems, supply more information. You posted in the Ripper forum—are you using Ripper or Copy? DVD or BD? Attach the DVDFab internal log for each disc to a new post with more details.
