    Computer Went to Reset Land

I popped in a DVD, FabMP began to auto-play it, I made it full screen.

    That's when the trouble began.

My projector went to it's blank blue screen, and gave me it's "Searching for a Signal" visual hint. Nothing I did could get my desktop back. Windows key, ctrl-shift-esc, Windows-E, double-clicking, pressing esc, ejecting the DVD - none of them worked!

So, I had to hit the reset button.

After the reboot, I was able to play the DVD just fine.

What I have noticed is that the auto-play feature rarely works, but if I shut down and restart FabMP, and then click on the disk to play it, everything works fine. I have no idea what the difference is. I just know that auto-play seems to cause FabMP to be very unhappy, whereas playing the disk works just fine.

Hi, is it always that way?

Sounds like the display driver may be crashing. See if it needs an update.

        Display Driver

Thank you for the thought. It is the most recent version. Actually, though, you may have a point. Version 12.6(?) seemed better than version 12.10. (I am not sure I have the major version (12) correct. But I am sure I have the minor revisions, 6 & 10, correct.)

I have an ATI Radeon HD 7770. Perhaps ATI/AMD made things less stable in this release.
