If I already have the latest updates from Microsoft installed, what is it DVDFab tries to install by default?

This is primarily for the Airplay support, I asked and was told that it checks before doing anything to your DirectX. This is less than clear and will be improved in the next release. It will currently post an error message if you uncheck the DirectX box, but the product will still install and run correctly, just click "OK" if the error dialog opens.

No need to enable either checkbox (unless you want the Airplay suppport), just click OK on the error box, it worked fine for me.

This time it never asked me if I wanted to install those two options, as they already were installed. Previous version always asked that. Seems to work now.

It is all cleaned up, no more error boxes if the installs are declined.

Not yet for me, I unchecked those 2 boxes and the media player wont detect any discs. I didnt have any error messages. It just wont detect any discs.

This is a symptom of no server connection, try it again. A new server will go online later this week, Fab has outgrown the old one
