    divx playback jerky

    hi

i just downloaded the media player
    (thx for the gift )
it plays even files which vlc and mpc hc won't play properly

but i found a small problem
    divx files won't play properly
the videos stutter (audio is ok but the picture is jerky)
xvid and all other files play without problems.
it doesn't matter if hardware or software acceleration.

    hope this will be fixed

I can't reproduce this with 9.2.1.1 beta, get it here: http://forum.dvdfab.cn/showthread.php?t=27787 and give it a try.

Ok, if you made the DivX with Fab version 9.2.1.0 you could have introduced the jerky stuff while making the file, fixed in 9.2.1.1. I made a DivX and played it back on 2.5.0.3 smoothly.

but dvd fab is no media player
playing video files with it is not very comfortable

yep but all other players can play the files
so i guess its not a problem with the files
(all from different times and sources)

dvd fab beta can play the files without problems
must be a minor difference in decoding code for divx files....

i just saw that another user had the same porblem with divx files

                    i have an idea...
when the build in media player from latest dvd fab can play the files without problems
may be its the simplest solution to just copy the divx decoding code and codec 1:1 into the media player 2 code and replacing the old divx decoding code.....

i guess both players have the same roots and were build similiar
so doing this should be easy....

i tested some more divx files
the latest files from divx.com seems to play properly

but older divx videos like this one

(was an older divx test video)

                      are jerky

The files are very similar, encoded with the same version of divx, so the difference is a setting in the encoding. I will send you a PM with instructions to upload one of the jerky files, such as the one in your MediaInfo post.
