Occasional short buzz in audio

Hi;
I'm running DVDFAB Player v6.0.0.8 on the following system:

OS: Windows 10 Pro version 1903 OS build 18362.535

CPU: Intel i5 2500 on MSI P67A
RAM: 16GB RAM @ 1600Mhz
Video: Gigabyte NVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB
Sound: Behringer UMC202HD on USB 2.0
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD
Optical: ATAPI iHAS124 on SATA 3
PLEXTOR DVDR PX-891SAW on SATA 3


The issue:
While playing commercial DVD's (borrowed from my local library), there is an occasional very short buzz in the audio. It sounds like about 120HZ sawtooth or square wave, kind of like a large bee or wasp.
The buzz only lasts for about 1/10 sec, and occurs infrequently, but repeatedly through the disk; I estimate not less than 5mins apart.
The noise appears to occur at scene changes, but definitely not every one.
My thinking is that the DVD is switching layers.

I have played DVD's on both of my DVD drives, and the problem occurs on both of them.
All of my DVDFAB settings are set to default.

This isn't really an annoyance, as it is very brief and occurs only occasionally, but I am somewhat of a perfectionist, and don't seem to recall having this sort of problem with Windows Media Player running on Windows 7 on the same hardware.

Any ideas?

Please list some of the commercial DVDs that you encounter such a problem.
Repeat the playback of one of the movie, it will generate the new log file, please zip the Player log folder and send it to us.
Also, please go to PC mode>Settings>Video section, and use the "Analyze Hardware" button to do the analysis, screenshot the result and post it.

Thanks. I will watch the DVD, and take note of the exact time(s) when the buzz occurs, then watch again and see if it occurs at the same times.
I will send you the .zip log file(s), and the Analyze Hardware data.
I will watch a different DVD (also a commercially produced one) and see if the buzz occurs on that one as well.
So far, I have heard this buzz on most, but not all of the DVD's I have watched. All were borrowed from my local library.

A couple more things I would like to try:
Running sound through a different interface. Besides the Behringer USB, I have a Realtek Hi-Def built-in.
I would also like to watch the same DVD's in another player (VLC) to test for buzz again.

If you have time, please try the Realtek and post the results. If you hear it with VLC, check to see if frames are being dropped.

The DVD movies which I noticed the buzzing were:
Deliverance (DVD)
Primer (DVD)
One or two others I do not recall.
All DVD's were borrowed from my local library.

Last night I watched 'Dark City' DVD, also borrowed from the library. This DVD did not cause any buzzing, but I noted that when clicking on menu items before starting the movie, I heard the brief buzz on each click.

Doing some Google searches, I found that sometimes the cause is hardware acceleration decoding, so I disabled it. It didn't make a difference in the 'Primer' DVD though.

I tried to plug headphones into the Realtek audio, but apparently the front panel jacks are not connected, so I will have to pull the tower out and plug into the rear. I hope to get to that tomorrow.
In the meantime, I am watching other DVD's (also borrowed from the library), and will make note of any issues with these.

If you have time, please try the Realtek and post the results. If you hear it with VLC, check to see if frames are being dropped.

I do not believe that frames are being dropped when the buzz sound occurs, but it is so short, I'm not sure I would notice.
Perhaps this is one of those Windows 10 issues. I am thinking of re-installing Windows 7 on another drive, or even going back to it permanently. There are many things about Windows 10 compared to Windows 7 that I do not like. If it weren't for the security issues with MS ending support for 7, I would not have migrated to 10 in the first place.

Update:
I switched to the on-board Realtek HD audio. The result is same.
I have noted that on some DVD's I play, I hear the short buzz only when clicking on a menu item, but not during playback of the video.

One thing I have not yet tried was updating the video driver. The one I am using is recent, but may not be the current, as NVidia is releasing new driver about 2x per month.
I will do that, and post if there is any change.
