When I open a file to play in Media Player, I am not seeing the bar where you can pause, rewind, or fast forward? Is there something that I should be toggling on?

What version of Player do you have installed? The playback controls appear if you hover the mouse pointer anywhere in the playback area and will stay on as long as the pointer is in the area where the controls are along the bottom of the screen.

Unfortunately, the Fabplayer does not support HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) HDR video either, it is time for HLG to finally be supported.
