I have the same issue.......normally what I endup doing is turning off passkey (which defeat the purpose of the product), remove the dvd from the computer, reinsert the dvd and open dvdshink then it works......

What you should do is in settings-General for Passkey change the I/O Mode from Normal to Advanced and keep Pathplayer set as Always Enabled

The disc that bioli was using has heavy structure protection, I would not expect DVDShrink to be able to read it.

The only way I know of when you want to use DVD Shrink with "oversized heavy protected DVDs" is this way:

          1. Rip the DVD to the hard disk through ImgBurn. (change the I/O Mode from Normal to Advanced in DVDFab Passkey, if you don't do this, you will get reading errors)
          2. Mount the ISO file with DVDFab Virtual Drive
          3. Rip the mounted disk with DVDFab HD Decrypter to your hard disk
          4. Open the files with DVD Shrink
