    Can't Copy LOTR Extended Bluray

Lucky for me I have other software as a backup but Occasionally I've ran into issues where Passkey either doesn't recognize or read the disk properly.

My latest example is Lord of the rings: Fellowship of the rings Extended (Blue Ray). It will read the disk and say it's unlock them but when I go to copy the drive lite blinks a few times and them nothing.

It just will not copy the disk, I tried three times and then decided to try other software which had no problem. So that tells me that it's the software not the disk or hardware.

Don't get me wrong I really like Passkey and I use it all the time but considering this was an old movie I'm not sure why it didn't read the disk!

If you want help with this, attach the Passkey internal log from LOTR-e. Other software you may be using is not relevant, no need to mention it.

I have the same issue. Passkey recognizes the blu-ray disc and decrypts it but I cannot rip to hard drive or rip to an image file.

This is only happening with the Part 2 discs of the Lord of the Rings extended editions.

Have you tried disabling BluPath for disc 2?

No, but thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it shortly.

No dice. Even when I disabled BluPath, I get the following experience. See the attachements.

Good news today. For whatever reason LoTR 2 Part 2 decided to rip to an image file. I didn't do anything differently.

Not so lucky with LoTR 1 Part 2 and LoTR 3 Part 2.

The work around was to let Passkey decrypt the discs, then I manually copied the discs to a hard drive, which appears to be the same as ripping them to a hard drive using Passkey.

I then used DVDFab Copy to make ISO files from those folders on the hard drive (option: Blu-ray Copy <Full Disc>).

I tested the ISO files and they work.

Also, DVDFab Copy works to save the full disc as an ISO file. Not as automated as simply using Passkey but it is a solution.

                  Hi executor999
Passkey will let you burn to disc, copy the disc to a folder or ISO image, without having to run it through Fab to make an ISO file...
Right click the Passkey notification icon, "Rip to Image"

If you read the third post, you'll read I had issues with that. These were the only discs were I was not able to rip to hard drive or rip to image using Passkey.

LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring Ext Ed Part 2

I'm also having the same issue as posted by Bugs & excutor999. I tried CDR929 suggestion with no luck.

I tried also disabling BluPath. Using Rip to image gives me a "Cannot create file 123 while using Rip to hard disk, Passkey read the disc and stops with no message.

                      Please help. Thank you.

krysburgos : Your blu ray drive firmware has a Mdisk support upgrade if you like it get it here direct from LG http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-WH16NS40# follow all directions or you can render the drive useless.
