    Audio CD problem

When Passkey is enabled & a commercial Audio CD is in one of my drives Passkey has problems.
First it doesn't read the Audio CD correctly.
There is an Audio CD in this drive.
This is what it shows: Click image for larger version Name:	Passkey(01).jpg Views:	1 Size:	106.7 KB ID:	360101

This is what Windows Explorer shows with Passkey on:
Click image for larger version Name:	Passkey(02).jpg Views:	1 Size:	29.2 KB ID:	360102

This is what Windows Explorer shows with Passkey off:
The commercial Audio CD is properly detected by Windows Explorer.
Click image for larger version Name:	Passkey(03).jpg Views:	1 Size:	30.2 KB ID:	360103

This is how I have Passkey set:
What I expect Passkey to do is "Remove CD Digital Audio Protection".
If Passkey shows "No Disc in drive" as above I don't see how it is removing CD Digital Audio Protection.
I hope this can be explained to me.

BTW in case someone notices the images for Windows Explorer were done in a different drive.
Both drives looked the same & I was testing to see if a different drive would work with Passkey.

    see this here - https://www.dvdfab.cn/resource/dvd/w...-player-rip-cd

also you can use dvdfab, click common settings - drives - Hybrid Disc - tic enable hybrid disc support
then in the drop down menu select CD

      I looked at the link.
It is for ripping with WMP.
I don't use WMP & I have it disabled in "Windows features" so it doesn't ever come on.

I can rip an Audio CD.
      I use EAC .

The problem is Passkey shows "No disc in drive" when there is an Audio CD in the drive.
To me if Passkey shows that message . How can it "Remove CD Digital Audio Protection".
That is what I want Passkey to do. In case there is any protection.
This is a feature Passkey is supposed to have.

A different software on a different computer & drive shows this information:
      Summary for drive D:
      MATSHITA DVD-RAM SW-9585 B101 03/29/05BZQ2A 2007
      Drive (Hardware) Region: 1

      Current profile: CD-ROM
      Media is an Audio CD.
Right now the Vendor: TSSTcorp, Product: CDDVDW TS-H662A Revision: UO00, Vendor specific: 1114 is doing something but I can move it to the other computer if needed.
I'm certain it will show the same information with the other software except for the drive.

I'm sure you know why I don't name the other software & I don't plan to.

Passkey is supposed to do the same thing.

I don't know if the developers have returned from holiday yet .
It has been 13 days since I replied to this topic.

I installed the new Passkey 9.3.2.1 this morning & tested a commercial Audio CD with two different optical drives.
Same results as the first post.
So Passkey isn't working correctly with Audio CDs.

I usually post a log as an attachment but this one is very short.
I cleared all but the last Audio CD I opened.
Passkey still showed "No disc in drive" on it's "Info" screen.
It also showed media type as unknown.

            HTML Code:
            DVDFabPasskey 9.3.2.1 (2018/10/15 10:21:28)

             1m 58.13s: opening drive G
             1m 58.13s: opened i/o
             1m 58.13s: currentProfile: 8
             1m 58.13s: got media type 1
             1m 58.13s: got max lba 152786
             1m 58.15s: got disc type 0
DVDFab Media Player 5 wouldn't play the commercial Audio CD with Passkey on or off.
My other media players played the Audio CD both ways except for WinAmp.
WinAmp would only play if Passkey was off.

Passkey 9.3.2.6 fixed the CD problem with removing CD Digital Audio Protection & showing the disc as an Audio CD.

There is now this bug in doing this. Most of the information about the drive with an Audio CD in it disappears.
I included a DVD to show that not all discs cause this problem.
I also tried it with my other internal drive & the results were the same.

This is what the Passkey information window shows:
                Without Audio CD:

Info for drive [D:\] (DVDFab Passkey 9.3.2.6)
                Vendor: HL-DT-ST, Product: BD-RE WH14NS40

                Support: BUS_ENCRYPTION=YES BN_GENERATION=YES

                No disc in drive.

                With Audio CD:
Info for drive [D:\] (DVDFab Passkey 9.3.2.6)
                Drive region: Not set

                Disc media: Audio CD

CD Digital Audio Protection is removed.

                With DVD:
