The conversion to MP4 for Amazon Kindle MP4 won't work on my new Kindle Fire 7-HD. If I re-convert using a different program, it will play on my Fire. Anyone else having the problem?

We need more information.
Are you converting from DVD or Blu-ray?
If not, what file format is the source material?
Do files that played before not play now?
Which specific profile are you using?

Please install MediaInfo if you do not have it and allow it to analyze a file that works and a file that doesn't and post the two results.

Kindle Fire HD 7

I'm also having that problem. It took forever to convert one movie and then I couldn't play it.
I was converting a standard dvd (The Fellowship of the Ring).
I didn't try to convert to any other format--though I regularly convert our movies for my husband's iPod touch with no problem at all.
I wondered if an android format might work because the kindle runs android style apps?
I'm not very "techie" so I have no clue about most of the other questions you asked--such as profile and the whole MediaInfo thing--not sure what to do with that, so any help that can be provided with my limited knowledge would be appreciated.

If you are converting from a DVD disc or file, you should be using DVD Ripper, not Video Converter.

Chapters out of order?

Anyone else have this issue while burning a movie to the Kindle Fire HD? I burned a movie and when I watch it all the chapters are out of sequence.
