Converting RIP seems OK but lacks the video

Before I buy, I want it to be able to do the conversion I want.

I got a rip from my friend, and it wouldn't play on my Samsung Galaxy SII. Other movies I have ripped directly from DVD (with DVD ripper which I already have license for) are functioning well. But with the same target settings with the converter I get only sound in the result. The movie (source) is playable in the converter so it should be able to read video stream. The size of target is only like 25 MB.

What can I do to check? How can I see what video settings there are in the source movie? Is this info valid I get from SMPlayer?

            Hi erikn
Have you tried any of the newer versions of Fab 8 found here http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=20181 or Fab 9 here http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=20396

Also try disabling GPU in Fab settings and set everything to software to see if you have the same result.
            Hope this helps

Upgraded to 8.2.2.6 with no difference. Tried to turn off GPU and DVDFab crashes approx 5 sec after I start converting job.

Intalled the Beta 9.0.2.0 and it crashes during startup (contacting homepage). So far no success to convert this movie.

Now trial license have expired. I will never know if this will work, as I don't want to buy until I see as it really work.

That is bad luck. You only had 30 days to try it.
