Extracting audio from video loses stereo

I'm using DVDFab to extract the audio from a video. I use video converter with an audio only profile. Whenever I try to convert to any format (I tried WAV, FLAC, M4A) the resulting audio is only mono or single channel. The source is 2 channel stereo and the log file shows stereo for both the source and the output, but playing back the file only plays the left channel.

Media info says 2 channel but loading the file into audacity shows there is nothing in the right channel.

Any ideas?

I don't use this feature very much, but I will try it and see if it shows the problem for me as well. In the meantime, please post the DVDFab internal log session from one of these conversions.

This also happens to me whenever I try to convert HD mkv's or HD mp4s. The audio goes from stereo to mono on. Meaning you can only hear the left channel but not the right.

That is the log, it looks like it should have worked. Might be a bug since pjay sees the same thing. I will check it also and report it to the QA Team.

Does the same thing for me, tried all possible audio out formats, left channel only.

Also, FWIW, I tried the same video using 8.2.3.0 and it worked fine...

Your problem is different, the log shows the discs are open but DVDFab seems to be having a problem with the protection on the disc. DVDFab can see your drives fine. You seem to be converting from a disc.
