    Problems with Conversions

Just updated to 8.0.4.0 and the video Converter has 3 major bugs in it. Doing a 2 pass divx .avi to ipod creates a Expression (P[1][1] >>shift) >=ymin error then crashes the program. Audio of any divx to iPod conversion doesn't map the sound track correctly and m4v files are not supported as downloaded from itunes. I just tried a video converter from divx to iPod with 2-pass encoding to ipod.h.264 and it hung. I had to kill the process. Where are the DVDfab testers? I could understand if this were a free product but it's not!

    Signed,

    Very Disappointed Customer.

Sorry to hear you are disappointed, I put 2 movies on my Itouch today with the new version, but if you are using a divx .avi to convert to mp4 there must be a reason and I would suspect those files before I would suspect the program. Try using a disc to make an mp4 to put on your IPOD and see if it crashes. I doubt it. If it doesnt map the sound correctly , that could also be the fault of the .avi files, what is this movie and where did obtain these files?

Your post serves no one, least of all yourself. If you need help with the problem, post in the correct sub-forum, the developers will never see it here. You must provide better details and DVDFab log files. I will move your thread Video Converter forum and change the title.

I love your response to your customer! "Your post serves no one, least of all yourself" .....nice slam dude.

Has your manager seen your response? You need to take a basic support course on how to respond to customers in order to keep your customers! My money as well as other customers can easily go else where! Anyway enough of bashing one another. Lets move on to the problem.

I have a DVD that I purchased. Yes I own the DVD, Thin Ice Jesse Stone and ripped it to .avi encoded with divx. I used a program called Gordian Knot. It works well and doesn't mess up the audio tracks. I constantly have issues with DVDfab getting the audio off track. I store the file on a media server so I can stream it to my bluray player using Nero HomeMedia server. The .avi file plays just fine with either windows media player, divx player or streamed to my LG blueray player over Nero.

When I import this to DVDfab to convert it to ipad so I can take it with me when I travel thats when the conversion problems begin. I get a C++ coding error. I've added a screen shot of the error message. This is easily reproducible. As you can see from the log file I tried a number of permutations

You are not my customer. If you want help, supply information. Do not try to engage in public debates with the forum staff. This is your only warning.

Fair enough, I thought you worked for dvdfab, my mistake and will head your advice.

Did the logs or screen image provide any indication as to the problem? Was this an operator error or bug?

Just moved the highjack post and your response to them CBR929. No idea if it was a Video converter problem or not but moved them to the DVD Copy section
