    Huge drop in performance

I upgraded to 11.0.6.8 a couple of days ago (from 11.0.6.6) and immediately noticed a HUGE drop in performance. Simply ripping a rewriteable DVD from my HDD recorder, which I regularly do went from around 25 minutes for an hour long program, to around 5 hours.

I tried another recording, just in case it was something odd about the first recording, but both recordings showed the same huge increase in run time.

I reinstated the 11.0.6.6 programs from updateTemp, restarted DVDFab and was back to around 25 minutes again, so it looks like something went astray in 11.0.6.8. I only tried ripping DVDRW, so I've no idea if it affected anything else.

Same thing here. CPU rendering of HEVC from DVDs usually cranks through at 70+ fps, but now I'm seeing <4fps. Pretty much unusable.

Aaaaaand the bug is present in the 11.0.6.7 Beta. Looks like I'm stuck as I had deleted the 11.0.6.6 installer (and previous installers) to clean up my drive before running a backup, and there is no download link to the 11.0.6.6 installer anymore.

        All,
Please attach Fab internal log or use the Feedback button in DVDFab so that the Developers can get an idea what may be happening. I only did one DVD with the Beta but did not notice this. If you use the Feedback button, post the Log ID number in this thread. Thanks for the feedback.

I have the same problem. A DVD RIP that use to take ~30 minutes now takes ~5 hours on version 11.0.6.8, my latest update.
I have included my log files to Feedback Log ID #6871203

If you search the log for DVD_VIDEO_RECORDER you'll find the DVD rips I regularly do.

On 1st Jan you can see a fairly typical example

btw, I found myself in a similar situation with no easy way to rollback as I'd used the in-place installer, as it's been a long time since I installed an unusable version. But what I did notice was the installer had created a directory call updateTemp which contained the 11.0.6.6 exe files. After backing up the DVDFab library just in case I copied the .exe files in updateTemp into the main DVDFab directory everything was working again after that.

It's not an ultra clean roll-back, but enough to get me out of being stuck on an unusable version. Hopefully the standalone install creates the updateTemp directory as well.

I have the same problem with the Ripper taking a lot longer than it's used to. I typically tell it to encode and then go to bed and when i got up this morning it was STILL encoding... Further investigation shows it's not using all of the CPU threads in 11.0.6.8 the way it used to in previous versions. I will upload the logs as suggested. I will also be rolling back to version 11.0.6.6, i cannot stand it running this slowly.

Same here, I even uninstalled 11.0.6,8 and installed 11.0.6.7 and saw no difference, huge loss in performance, painfully slow.

Same here. I had 11.0.6.8 so, I uninstalled and installed 10.2.1.7 and performance jumped from about 12 fps to 140 fps. There is something screwy with version 11 64bit.

Same problem here. Ripping a Blu-ray needs 4 hr to 5 hr, instead of something like 45 min. to 1 hr. NOT FUNNY!!! (Version
                            11.0.6.8, 64 Bit)
