    Odd bug(s) with disk recognition

When you first load a disk into DVDFab to rip, it attempts to identify it with mixed success. If it cannot, it offers what appears to be the burned-on disk id as the disk name. All of which is fine. However, if once you have ripped the disk you insert another, things get strange and for some time I had difficulties in finding where my rips have done.

This is the sequence, using Disk1, Disk2, Disk3, Disk4 etc

Start DVDFab and load a disk by clicking in the box in the centre and dragging the disk from file manager. DVDFab displays DIsk1 as the ID and saves to a directory DISK1
    Rip the disk.
Remove the disk and the "finished" information in the DVDFab main window. Note that Disk1 is still displayed.
Load Disk2. DVDFab still displays Disk1 as the Disk ID.
Rip the disk. All rips go to the DISK1 directory.
Remove the disk and the "finished" information in the DVDFab main window.
Load Disk3. DVDFab now displays Disk2 as the Disk ID.
Rip the disk. All rips go to a new directory called DISK

    Rince and repeat.

You end up with rip directories DISK1, containing Disk1 and Disk2 rips, DISK2 containing Disk3 rips and DISK3 containing Disk4 rips. Once you know what is going on this is merely inconvenient. I have taken to restarting DVDFab with each successive rip but it can catch you out if you forget to do that.

Oh, yes, the disk Hero (starring Jet Li) is identified as Hero but shows the graphic for "Last Action Hero". I can't off hand remember which film identified itself as a series of karaoke lessons. I understand this feature is new so teething problems can be expected.

Hi, what is the disk that shows disk id as the disk name? Please specify the disk name, and take a screenshot to show us as an example.

About the problem below, we will try to duplicate it first. Please post the dvdfab_internal log file as well, thank you.

About the displaying name, you can also use the Search feature to adjust it manually first.

Click image for larger version Name:	first load.jpg Views:	0 Size:	17.0 KB ID:	399146 OK, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Click image for larger version Name:	Second load.jpg Views:	0 Size:	17.6 KB ID:	399147 does the following:
Load the disk. It displays DVD_VIDEO, the DIsk ID from the disk (the same one displayed by File Manager)
Wait a bit. The disk identifier changes to show Croughing Tiger, Hidden Dragon and the cover art.
Rip the disk. It rips to DVD_VIDEO. Unfortunately this does not show up on the DVDFab screen so if you happened to look away for the critical few sections you have no way of knowing where it is putting the disk.

Two sceenshots appended showing the two states of the display.

Thank you for the tip on adjusting the display name. I'll do the other problem later - my ISP is doing maintenance and the connection is less than reliable today.

Oh, yes, you may be amused to know that the Special Features disk is identified as "Falcom JDH Band Diva Kanako's How to Sing Falcom Songs". I have seen this before on other Special Features disks.

Please try to manually Search and fix it.
