For All Mankind.s03e06 downgraded automatically to 432p
Thats all without any [Critical] in the log (also Severance.s01e07+08 from old post)

Can you tell us more about your selection ?

I can download For All Mankind S03E06 in 2160P H265 with Atmos but the video is never decrypted. I get a 9+GB file with clear audio but encrypted video.

I also have a few other episodes of shows that only download in 480P:
Foundation S02E08
Slow Horses S01E03, S02E01, S03E02
Ted Lasso S02E03, S03E06

There will probably be no known key for video >SD - Not for all titles is the FHD Key known

For many movies >SD is not offered to me if the key for decrypting for >SD is not known.
Why this check is not error-free for all movies is beyond my knowledge and understanding.

I'll probably check the other titles (after work)

I tested "For All Mankind.s01e07" again - now with your selection ..
.. and for Video I see in log: server replied: Not Found, code : 203

This is probably due to the fact that the setting determined for s01e01 is not available for episode 7.

On closer examination I found the exact cause:

SF analyze s01e01 and for H265 with 1920x960 you can select
Bitrate 5150 (your selection), 4095, 2949 kbps

But the Resolution 1920x960 is not offered by AppleTV+ for s01e07
Available is only 1918x960 @ 5174 kbps or 1916x958 @ 4129 kbps
(s01e08 offered in 1918x960 @ 5173 kbps or 1916x958 @ 4115 kbps)

3840x1920 from s01e01 is also not available for s01e07+08 (3838x1920)

Ergo: If you need more than 1356x678 and I see it right (untested)
you can only use 1920x960 @ 10327 kbps H264 for s01e07+08

Hi! This new version 6.1.9.7 works very fine in AppleTV most of the time. However, I'm downloading For All Mankind and some episodes doesn't download. The program generates a lot, and I mean a lot, of files and make my drive full when I try to download these episodes. My SSD has 300 GB free and becomes completely full. The episodes are: For All Mankind, episodes S01E07, S01E08 and S03E06.If you need a log, please, tell me what to do. Thanks.

I had this same issue a few weeks ago with E7 and E8. Tried them again a week later and they worked

You can also see on top of the page (#76) that it works ..
.. but not in all resolutions with H265

What was your selection (or result) ?


btw: My SF Temp SSD has always had <300 GB free and has never been full

Has SF ever been able to download anything live?
I can't think of any provider supported by SF off the top of my head

It was just a question and a guess - I don't have access (and don't want)
and have only seen announcements.

Is there an error or is the analysis missing?

It's encoded by Apple at 2024-08-26 - so only SD possible ..

Just because it didn't work for you - for whatever reason ..
.. is no reason for me to paint pictures myself.

I haven't used a trial version for over a year ..
.. but if your dl has never been started, no dl should be counted.


I can only state that there was no SF problem before the dl and no error during the dl.

The file I downloaded with SF 6198 is here (max 6 days)
