I'm experiencing the same symptoms. I see the "oops, something went wrong" screen, then the window closes.

Well...for me it's not that it still doesn't work, 3.1.0.0 doesn't work. After hitting download as noted the DRM download window closes, this is with HBOMax that I have tried. Thought it might have been just with Zack Snyder's Justice League that I tried after the install, (tried it 3 times, all 3 times crashed), then tried a different movie and it did the same thing with 3.1.0.0. Have not tried any other sites yet but sure the problem lays with 3.1.0.0. Logs being provided.

3.1.0.0 broke HBO MAX downloader for me (it was working great in 3.0.2.2)
Uninstalled 3.1.0.0, re-instralled 3.0.2.2 and HBO MAX downloader works again...

I have the same problem. I pick my HBO Max account, click a movie, it analyze ok, but then it goes black screen with a message (refer to attached screenshot). I click download but it just crash or closes itself. I was testing the application to see if i buy the downloader for a month, but if is not working.

All, I tested the pre-release version of v3.1.0.0 yesterday and it worked well. Please try the offline installer.

Is it possible to download 3.0.2.2? I don't have it and 3.1.0.0 isn't working on HBO Max. I tried downloading via the offline downloader and it didn't help. Thanks.

well you may have tested the offline installer, but it does not work for me either I uninstall downloader and reinstall it will not work it just closes when I try to download Justice League.

I had to remove 3.1.0.0 and re-install 3.0.2.2 as that allows downloads from HBOMax
