Yeah, Rain Wang, aka "Judy" tried pulling that here last week, only with Netflix. The only problem was that she claimed 6.1.7.5, which had dropped a whole 10 days before her post, didn't address a damn thing where Netflix was concerned. Breaking news, huh? Well, I suppose in a way it is, since it's a confirmation that eveything's still broken.

They know they need to announce something - hell, anything - to make it look like they're on top of things, but they got nothing to work with since they have no progress to report. And they're very, very, very bad at pretending they do.

I had never heard of "myfans" either, so I followed DVDFab's link to read about it. It's porn for Japanese! That's what DVDFab says. That's what they have prioritized over movies and tv shows from Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, Max, Paramount, Peacock.

Also, so much for 6177. I can't wait to see what next week's malware-laden poisonous toadstool of an offering will bring!

I asked StreamFab's customer service today, and he said StreamFab will resolve the issue with DRM MPD Downloader before May 31st. He also said that DRM M3U8 Downloader is currently working normally, but in fact, it is not working at all

What, you mean Wilson Wang *gasp* LIED when he claimed it's right up there with Disney+ in terms of peerless downloaing functionality? Well, I'm totally shocked to discover that StreamFab isn't being truthful about its products./s

Hey, it's either that, or he's completely clueless about what functions (very little) and what doesn't (damn near everything.) Neither is a good look.

As suggested a while back, I downgraded to 6.1.6.7 to get the last direct downloader version since, to my understanding, anything after that uses screen recording. I already went with the competition, and the Amazon support was great, despite having to deal with a few glitches. Putting a hold on fixing those was understandably

I am correcting an error here. I just tested again and found that DRM M3U8 Downloader is working properly, while DRM MPD Downloader is not working!

There is an issue with DRM M3U8 Downloader. After logging into other third-party websites with a different Google account, it no longer works!

The DRM M3U8 Downloader and DRM MPD Downloader have not been fixed yet, using 6178. The official said they will be fixed before May 31st, wait and see, haha!

I'm in shock. "Re-encoding" seriously... With L3 cdm in Peacock you can get minimum 1080p for both new and old release and made "Re-encoding". I'd better not comment...

You notice who actually hasn't commented is Wilson or Rain or any other hapless flunky who knows just what sort of reception they'll get for delivering re-encoding as a "solution" - after four solid months.

If even just one person tried to crack the Peacock DRM since January and did nothing else but thrash away at it during the average Chinese work week - which Trading Economics informs me is somewhat more industrious than the US 40-hour work week - that's somewhere in the neighborhood of 776 hours. Heck, let's round it down for all those week-long holidays they took when they assured us they were hard at work, and make it 725. More than fair, yes? Let's look at that again: 725 HOURS.

In which they did not succeed in cracking one single solitary DRM. That's someone who's extraordinarily bad at decrypting, wouldn't you say? Given that there has to be more than one person tasked with decryption since there's more than one streaming service than Peacock, and that number is all failing miserably but still haven't been canned months later in favor of someone else who could actually do the job, that means there's actually more incompetence per square foot at PornFab than any other place in the planet - outside of the US Congress, that is. It's not exactly something to brag about.

I just upgraded to 6.1.7.8 and tried downloading Trolls Band Together.

Worse is that if it is re-encoding, I don't see Video Decode/Video Encode activity in Windows Task Manager on my RTX3060 (like I see with SF re-encoding for Amazon), so the not using GPU assist?!?!?!

Additionally watching disk usage for the drive my SF temp folder is on and it had a lot of time with 0% usage. (again, SF re-encoding for amazon maxes the disk at 100% constantly). And CPU was hovering between 1% and 5% max.

EDIT: Nevermind, it took until the progress bar for Processing was past 50% to see the Encoding on my Video Card kick in. I am not sure what it was doing for that first 50+%

I guess you haven't been reading the forum, StreamFab is a screen recorder now.

                                I have, and i know.

I just expected the re-encoding for Peacock to act pretty much the same as re-encoding does for Amazon.

For Amazon, when it switches from "downloading" to "processing", the disk goes to 100% and the video card spikes for Decoding/Encoding. Instead for peacock, when SF switched to saying "processing" there was a big delay of no disk activity, no gpu activity and no CPU activity.

Its ok, I don't use SF much anymore. I was just curious.
