SF-Windows - Unable to Download from Netflix for Last Several Versions

    I tend to agree. This forum (and all forums really) should be one where we cooperatively are supporting each other, to grow the community around shared experience (& shared issues), when it applies. There's an invaluable collective knowledge between everyone here that's just ripe for the tapping! That said, a certain baseline of discipline/demeanor/tact would go a long way. And maybe a dialing down of the superlatives and blustering. We should be approaching every question/issue as an opportunity to learn, teach, help each other out towards a hopeful solution... but really... only when a reply would come from some sort of 'experience common denominator'. Meaning, simply, if you don't relate and can't correlate, then... no reply needed... Basic stuff!

      Let's do a test:

      Let's have Germania, Cats4U , october262 , KidJoe and myself stop engaging for 30 days.

      Maybe someone else steps up and provides great free support or...

      DVDFab staff take much longer to look at issues since none of the more credible people are confirming the issues and the responses will be:

      Delete your temp and logs folder and try the latest version.

      We are on holiday.

      I can easily stop posting for that long. In fact, I have improved my "Easy MOD" for people using multiple versions of StreamFab and was about to post it, but it can definitely wait 30 days.

      The others probably won't stop so we'll never know what that looks like, unfortunately.

        Let's do a test:

        Let's have Germania, Cats4U , october262 , KidJoe and myself stop engaging for 30 days.

        Maybe someone else steps up and provides great free support or...

        You can all do that. Maybe a break would do others good as well.
        I personally am thankful for the help Cats4U has done, and you jpp72 and especially Germania for going above and beyond on helping get users working.
        I try to fix most of my issues myself now, but there are still times when it helps to get another outlook on an issue.
        I also personally don't mind if someone tells me it works for them, there were times that led to the fix.
        Plain and simple: just use streamfab for Windows offline installer, which is always available at

          Yes , Germania has been helpful in the past , possibly Cats too . What I was trying to point out was there really is no need to reply if all they can say is its our problem , they don't have it and as things others have go wrong they don't experience it must be the users fault. Plenty of examples where that doesn't apply.

          I usually do the deleting folders thing first , restarts etc and uninstall as a last resort so won't usually report problems unless all that fails.

          Like others are finding, posting on here for help is a desperate last resort.

            That's sad people feel that way, I feel that way about SF support, and they get paid.
            This is user to user support, and I know I don't get paid. And yes, no one is forcing me.
            I guess my payment is if/when I help someone get an SF issue fixed.
            I guess everyone can see things different, but overall I got more/better support here then contacting SF support.
            SF supports canned responses just don't help, either.

            I have also been around forums for longer than I care to say. If users have those feelings, it should be addressed direct to SF, via the member portal, or pmed to dvdstaff, not pmed to another member. In other forums, the issues were always taken to the admins of the forum and let them handle it.
            Let's get back to being nice and if that's not possible then I was always told if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything, or at least keep it private.

            This also should be closed as this all has nothing to do with Netflix now.

              So, phelings , you keep telling me that others have told you they don't want help from Germania or Cats4U ...

              How many are there, 1, 2, or 3? Feel free to let them know; if they have something to say, they should speak for themselves.

              I can't count how many people Germania has already helped. Even when I think back to the moderator days of Jack or Cats. There were far more people than you and your supposed people. Just leave this forum if you feel offended.​

                Not directly - but it is a systematic delimitation of the problem.

                If no troubleshooting suggestions follow, this is because no further information was provided
                (e.g. which SF version, in which country and above all the SF settings and selection made)
                In these cases, it is rarely possible for me to narrow down the error further

                If you read that as “it must be you” then I can't help you either​

                      Amazing how many people on here can't read plain English.

                      I never once said people don't want help even from those members. What I've said is that replies are not necessary when all we get is "not seeing the problem here so it must be down to you". To be fair thats usually from Cats not Germania who is useful on many occasions. And I don't blame the other members for not speaking up as they will get the same treatment. To be honest it's time Cats got the boot and someone else took over.

                      I'm not offended by pointless unhelpful posts but I will point them out when they occur. Germania has helped me and others lots of times but the post from the other day needed a response.
