    Netflix File Size

    Hello, I have a question.
Why is it that when we download from Netflix, the download window shows the large size of the file, but when the download is complete, the size is much smaller and not the one shown?
Why does the bitrate decrease so much?

    That's the way Netflix is.
I even went to E629 and had SF analyze it, and this is what I got in the screenshot below. As you can see, for some reason, the files get much smaller with a lower bitrate.
Is what SF initially shows when analyzing that show is S01E01, and that shows a file size of approx 740, and you get a file of approx 740 with the higher bitrate if you were to download that episode.

You can check yourself by playing that episode in a browser and copying the link from the browser into SF, and it will show you the analyze option and let you analyze that specific episode.

Plain and simple: just use streamfab for Windows offline installer, which is always available at

Not really, a lot of Netflix content in 1080p delivers a bitrate between 5000Mb/s and 7500Mb/s.
SF currently offers a very low bitrate.
I know this because I have used other tools to prove what I said.
One day I hope they reach this higher value.

And why other tools offer the same bit rate ?

If you wish higher bitrate you need to select H264 Main Profile

Forget about what is offered, only the final result is valid, that is, what was actually downloaded.
My question is: Example: I download a file from Netflix and I am offered an episode of 740mb in size and when I download it and I go to check it, it is a file of about 300mb with less than 1500kb/s of video, even though it is shown about 4500kb/s in the download window.
          That is the problem.
          But anyway...

I get at NF always what I select (for analyzed/selected title/epi)

            so what?

            edit:

So if no EAC3 is offered you must change the NF Audio Codec to AAC
and then should also work the MAIN profile.

see also: The “Main” profile is not available for some series

Forget what I said, did and said nonsense.
              Problem solved.
              Total mistake on my part.
Thanks for the tips and sorry for anything!!

You have not analyzed One Piece.s23e629 in your 1st screenshot

The maximum for High shows correct 1485 (see post #2 + #4) - so the result is 1484 High

If you select Main SF offer 4986 (see post #4 last) - so the result is 5000 Main

Ergo: In both scenarios, SF's offer corresponds to the result.

                oh, too late => obsolete
