Amazon SF ignoring quality choice & will only DL the highest bitrate files

Trying to download RHS Chelsea 2025 from Amazon/Britbox. Quality SF offers after analyzing for 1080p x265 are Hi, Med, Lo bitrates. First 3 days the chosen Lo bitrate files downloaded fine at ~ 900kb. Last 2 days SF downloads the Hi bitrate 4GB files, no matter what I set. I do not get any flag that chosen quality may not be available.
Have tried fresh installs of SF 6235-6238 - all give same issue.

    I don't have Amazon/Britbox so I can't test ..
.. but perhaps it could be helpful if you post your StreamFab.log

I can "only" get at BritBox USA direct - but there is no 1080p or H265

btw: I've no problems with H265 bitrate selection at amazon.de
(except that i can't see anymore which subtitle is forced)

edit: Small addition - for free in H264/VP9 => here

This is most probably due to the fact that the low bitrate selected on Episode 1 doesn't exist on the final 2 episodes.

My suggestion would be for you to use this to select the episodes that are giving you grief and select the actual lowest bitrate available for said episodes.

Hope this problem just related to how Amazon US is offering RHS Chelsea 2025 and not something A is doing with newly added programming.
Trying with other older Amazon/Britbox programming will properly download to resolution/bitrate selected.

Amazon/Britbox in US has no VP9 option - only x264 & x265. Using either and choosing lessor bitrate gets codec right, but still gives highest bitrate 4GB+ download.

Tried "Season/Episode" mod before - followed steps - SF running, Amazon open to desired series, ran .cmd as admin, confirmed privilege - nothing happened - no additional Mod window - just back to underlying SF window. Tried again now with latest Mod v6.2.3.2+ - same results. Can't be sure, as the Mod does run, but seems it would have to be run every time? That is too great a hassle if true.

What are the exact episodes that you can't download the lowest bitrate?

Since I don't know the episodes giving you a problem, I bought a subscription on Amazon Canada and downloaded season 5 in its entirety.

          I selected this:

As you can see, all downloaded fine except the last one. The Last one is H264 instead of H265 and, it's the top bitrate.

I then used my mod to select episode 10. Notice that i run the script once and just keep feeding it new episode numbers to scan. You can leave it running and don't have to close it, so your comment on it being too much of a hassle has been answered.

After telling it to analyze episode 10 and clicking the analysis button, episode 10 is selected and defaults to H264 because H265 is not available.

So this is not a StreamFab issue but an Amazon issue. Amazon will very often quickly upload the H264 version of a new episode and then add the H265 version later during the day or sometimes a few days later. Sometimes, they forget to add the H265 at all. Very frustrating for people who are anal about consistency of their collection (like me) but hey, nothing we can do about that.

I personally would lose my mind with this show as all the latest episodes don't have subtitles...

Where exactly does it say you will get a new mod window in the mod's description? I seem to see a lot of this on many forums where people skim through explanations or just don't understand what is written.

I am pretty sure that it's abundantly clear in that thread that all it does is force StreamFab to analyze an episode of your choosing. That episode will then show up at the top of the list in the native StreamFab interface, as shown in the last screenshot of my previous message.

As said above, site is Amazon-US. Glad it works in another country, but how does that apply?

Likewise - your own example above shows another window where the desired episode is chosen - this is not happening.
              1. Starting SF & going to Amazon Chelsea 2025 page.
              2. Running Mod as administrator & OKing permission - nothing happens, just drops back to SF window and never gives a Dos window to choose episode.

Thanks for trying - only 2 episodes left on Sat & Sun - BBC will have, but Britbox may stop with Friday episodes anyway like they did last 2 years.

I know what you mean about having an audio language you do not understand. Luckily I speak US English & UK variants aren't too hard to keep up with.
Interesting new BritBox crime drama coming but will only be in Gaelic with English subs.
Fine with me, but wife can't read them as fast as they flash on-screen, so will have to skip.

Thanks Germania for the YT link - had read your post, but maybe before you edited to add link.
Strange, searching YT US for "RHS Chelsea Flower Show" turns up pages of junk, but could not find your poster unless I search for his name.
He seems to have stopped at E08 anyway and my enormous downloads are up to E12
Might try downloading 1 of his to see if it has usable subtitles or just the YT generated junk.

Amazon US, Japan, Germany, it doesn't matter. If it's available on the same channel, it's the exact same files being served. I subbed in Canada cause our money is shit right now because of an orange loser south of the border. CAD$10.99 is cheaper than US$8.99 and my US funds are precious because all the virtual cards are having issues, so I am saving as much as I can until shit is resolved with StatesCard and US Unlocked.

I have tried it many times as i have subs on both US and Canada. They are the same, byte-for-byte.

4 different people reached out today to say thanks for the mod so obviously it is working so it's obviously a code 18, aka ID-10T

Good luck with your show... I'll crawl back into my hole. Serves me right.

Rather than Britbox or YT, there's always BBC Iplayer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episod...ea-flower-show

All you need is a VPN pointing to a UK city (obviously I prefer London as my VPN offers many links there) and a phony location of where you supposedly live in that city. Since I've never been to London or know anyone there, I search Google for a business in London, such as a bakery or flower shop, and use that address for my registration. Every once in a while I'll be asked if I have a "TV License". I reply Yes because everyone in the US has a license to watch TV, it's granted by the FCC.

When I posted the link there were 8 ..
                    .. but it's coming at YT step-by-step:

Of course I also found it on BBC - but assumed that they only offer H264 ..
                    .. so I couldn't see any advantage - because it's also 4GB
