Might be pure coincidence, but I also got my warning after an accidental free trial ended. Except I didn't download a "free" movie, but two seasons of a show which I bought on sale within the trial period. It was exactly after the trial ended.

As far as AMZ is considered, it's a Chromium browser requesting access to a protected video and is in a secure playback environment. Said secure environment requests the key for playback purposes. No other info is really shared so AMZ doesn't suspect anything based on just that.

Who here has received a warning that does NOT use a VPN?
Unless you're in a different country and want to see regional content, you don't exactly have a reason to use a VPN.
When SF was using the screen recorder method, did it leave a trace, such as the "Continue Watching" screen saw that you watched it?
Could the option to mark a show as Watched be added? (ie: Playback the content in an accelerated way and therefore show that you "watched" it)

Originally posted by Germania View PostYesterday, I also received this email from amazon.co.uk ..
.. which was sent to an email address that was used exclusively for amazon.de
and (unlike my non-german accounts) was never used via a VPN (never used outside of DE)
And I have never reached the 100 limit - and never canceled a rented title.

Regarding the continue watching. Is this the change that was instituted in 6247? As per Wilson "We did some improvements in the new version 6247, at least that the process is same as watching the video from Amazon website when analyzing and downloading videos from Amazon in StreamFab."
Could someone who is still downloading check to see if the shows are flagged as watched?

I downloaded a s01e06 today and the series/episode does not appear in Watch History ..
.. and "Continue Watching" did not appear for either s01e01 or s01e06 afterwards.

I think my plan to start downloading again in September is sound. Seeing some of the issues with downloading certain episodes with 6.2.4.7, I rather err on the safe side. I know that technically, it's a burner account, but I don't really want to be constantly creating new accounts.
By the time I start again, StreamFab should be at v6.2.5.2, and they will have hopefully ironed out all the issues with the "Improvements on the Amazon analysis and download engine"

Like I mentioned before, I'm still downloading from Amazon every day, although I reduced the quantity to one season a day (only because I subscribed to a couple of channels during Prime Day and am catching up on some shows, otherwise I usually don't download that much and not every day). I'm in the US, without ad-free, and I've rented but never watched, no cancellations (I got a reminder over the weekend on my latest rental, so I let it played on my phone while doing other things just to be safe). I'm on version 6.2.3.7. I check my inbox, spam folder, and Amazon messages twice a day, so far nothing.
