This is a problem with PISOs made using some AACS 2.1 discs (it is a known issue).

      Hi
Can this be fixed soon as I also made a protected ISO of Fury a good movie that I can't get to work from the protected ISO on the computer or will this take a long time to fix as Fury is a 91 gig protected iso in 4k and would like to compress it?

        @ Faith,

Hi, we have supported aacs 2.1. Please re-copy Fury with DVDFab 11.0.5.3 x64 at https://www.dvdfab.cn/download.htm to see the result. Still fails, please post dvdfab_internal log here, thank you all.

I scratched up my store brought disk so can't recopy it but made a protected iso when the disk was brand new so I want the protected iso to work with Fab saving me from buying another disk can Fab fix this or not? Isn't this the purpose of making a protected iso?
          Thanks.

If the PISO was made with Fab or Passkey before the AACS2.1 was supported it probably will not work.

I know it doesn't work with fab what I am asking is can it be fixed to work with fab so I don't have to re buy a new $20 copy? This is the main reason for making PISO's.

Laprince Fab can make a protected copy meaning keeps all copy protection on the disk just copy's the whole iso as is and suppose to be for copying a new disk that Fab hasn't broken the copy protection for but when it doe's sometime in the future then it should be able to use the protected iso to make copy's or change formats now that's what I did and it doesn't work now that the copy protection is broken so I am asking if it can be fixed if not I am out $20 for a new copy.

To clarify: if the disc is AACS 2.1, then the PISO can't be used. If the disc becomes supported in the future, you can re-make the PISO and you would then be able to process it.

What good is a PISO if the copy protection is broken? why make another PISO after the copy protection is broken this de fetes the purpose of making a protected iso in the first place. If disks with AACS 2.1 can't work Fab should say this in their manual for making PISO'S so people don't loose money like I will because this fact was never published.

Calm yourself. This is the way things stand currently, but it may be that it can be improved in the future, this is still a fairly new type of copy protection. The information on PISOs will be updated when more is known.

What is the purpose of making a PISO, and what is it?
