Will 4K Disc play in my PC Blu-ray Player?

Just a quick question regarding the DVDFab UHD to Blu-ray Converter...
I have read on some websites that a 4K disc can only be read with a 4K player because it uses a different type of laser, if this is true how would I be able to convert the 4K disc down to 1980p Blu-ray standard if the PCs Blu-ray player is unable to play or read from the 4K disc?

You need a drive that supports 4k UHD discs. A disc must be readable to be able to convert it to other formats.
