Will the new STB make permanent connections to shared drives over a network. If so, is there a manimum number of connections that it can save? Is there a wireless remote control? Does it support external Blu-Ray drives? What will it do with copies of content that have Cinavia protection? Thank you.

It will ignore Cinavia until such time as the movie studios buy China. Not sure about the networking, they won't begin shipping for several weeks, then 2-3 more weeks to arrive.

For those not up-to-date with the terminology, here is a really dumbed down version:-
Frodo is the version of XBMC (XB Media Centre that it will be running). This is where you will access all your media. A windows version of RC3 (Release Candidate 3) is available if you want to see how it works. Alll versions are named. Frodo = V12, Eden = V11.
It looks like running ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) Version of Android Operating System which is based on the Linux kernel. Jellybean is the latest versions. All latest version names are based on desserts!!
SAMBA is the module that controls your access to network shares
NFS is a file system of the O/S. It also looks like it will support NTFS formatted external drives (Windoze).
Cinivia is the virus invented by Sony to try to prevent backing up of their titles.
Plot and fan art are displayed by XBMC when you access your media files. See first explanation.
