When I got my STB I put it in a far back bedroom believing it to be WiFi capable, it wasn't. The room wasn't wired for the Internet and that's where this gadget comes in. It converts my wireless signal to a wired connection. Saves running Cat5 all over the place. I don't stream HD so I make no claim about that, just that it works a treat on the STB.

If it is the same one you'll just have to connect it to the PC and set it up with your network and you're good to go. I guess it keeps the info in ROM memory because I've had it in the box for months at a time, take out and connect it to various devices and computers I've worked on, no muss or fuss. How to post the internal log
