Hi, I will wait it out, hopefully they can implement it.

At this point though, I get no sound at all from any movie. I have tried mkv's that I used the audio copy on pulling the dts-ma or true-HD track and when played I don't even get 2.0 sound through hdmi. I also played an ISO copy of a blue ray and I get no sound at all. If I could at least get 2.0 sound I could put it on my daughters tv that doesn't have surround sound.

I have tried various settings but still get no sound from movies through hdmi. The only sound that I hear is the clicks of the remote.

Do not expect too much and have a look at the onces who bought last year's offer. There was big advertising for these boxes and then they are revealing pure junk. The same with the AV200 - promising a lot (3D support etc.), the people run for it and no support afterwards. Don't be that naive and buy something reasonable.

I was sent this box as a replacement for the original which never worked. I got that when I bought the lifetime DVDfab deal.

I have many other set top boxes that work fine.

The DVDfab software has been outstanding!!

@Raynist: That's what I thought of. You bought the Lifetime Gift last year and now you get another box that is not working as expected.
I have red this note with passthrough for a long time (only an orange flag mentioning AV200 and not AV100), the specifications however, are the same with regard to this matter and therefore misleading.
Everybody can imagine that the price difference results from a better hardware of the AV200 but not supporting surround sound for a current set top box isn't up to date. A media player of that kind should be first of all made for having picture and tone in HD.
And you are right - there are plenty of other fine boxes that are able to do so.

It is not mentioned on the VidOn XBMC page http://www.vidon.me/vidon_xbmc.htm) that there are any functional differences between the apk downloads for the different players. Therefore the customer get the impression that also the AV100 apk supports hardware decoding, HD audio passtrough and playback of BD menus.

Nevertheless users can expect that all BD framerates (23,976Hz, 24Hz, 25Hz and 29,97Hz) are supported by automatic change of output framerate. This should be done not only for the main track but for all different tracks which are played during full BD playback if they have different framerates. But it is just described that 24Hz is supported for loseless playback. It is recommended in the FAQ that the framerate is set to 24Hz which means that there will be not auto framerate switching for both the AV100 and AV200. Remember that Lossless HDMI 1080P 24Hz Output is marked as feature for AV200 only.

That isn't quite correct since the info was posted here => http://vidon.me/android_blu_ray_box.htm for a long time with orange flags.
I would not say that this is clear enough but this has made me sceptical and I am glad to get the AV100 for free. The AV200 is no option for me with regard to missing 3D feature, delivery time, unclear future support, customs...
I can understand all the angry people who have purchased the AV100 or will get it as another not satisfying replacement for last year's gift.

I can really understand your feeling, It also makes us very . We chose a good one from many logistics company, and they also give us a promise that will give our customers good service. But actually they are not good enough.

I tried this and it is not passing anything other than stereo analog. After trying this I went to the Xbmc and looked at the setting and the only option I have for sound output is analog.

Sad but true and must be expected. They are going to push the AV200 and restrict the AV100 (that was part of the giveaway) by the software.
The AV200 itself ist still a building lot.
Many media players out there for a while with RTD1186 chipset are able to play 3D and passthrough HD without any problem. So why not both brand new Vidon.me BD-Players??!

Still not having it to test the alternative APK. No status change for delivery for one week now
But I do not expect that this is possible because of restrictions to limit AW A20 Cortex 7 Cual Core real performance.
