New set top box??

Fool me once!

I purchased last year's product VidOn.me Set-Top Box for $99 (worthless). I waited this entire year to see if VidOn.me would come up with anything (nothing). Now it seems a new box (AV100) is coming out for another $99 and it looks every bit as good as the one I thought I would have good use of. The (AV200) looks interesting also, but like a lot of us I'll wait for the review form this forum before purchase. I does note that Android Blu-ray Box (AV100) is not a DVDFab product.

In the closed post in this forum fengtao says something about the people that got the dud box getting this new box for free.

That was my understanding, but nothing has been announced yet. Many victims of the first box took refunds. I am quite sure everyone will be treated fairly.

I definitely hope that we get a replacement box that actually works, as the one we got has been worthless. We've been patient, and I am hopeful that Fengtao will do right by us.

Since box support for AC3/DTS 5.1 SPDIF passthrough and TrueHD/DTS-HD HDMI passthrough is only mentioned for the AV200 and not the AV100.

All the boxes are delivered from China - not knowing if import tax will be an issue for European customers. For the AV200 customs may also be an issue and raise the purchase amount
This could be avoided by delivering from Avantgate Netherlands for example.
