    General/Other How to remove entries

    Hi,

Sorry for the noob question but I cannot find any info in the manual. How do I remove entries from my Media Server without having to manually edit the db file?

    Thanks,

    John

    WHP,
Please clarify that you are trying to delete a movie. If so, you should be able to do it from File Manager in the DMS. If this is not working for you, describe your goal differently.

Hi, I think we're all noobs here since the product is so new. The only way I've figured out how to remove an entry from the Movie Server is to delete the file from the disk or NAS. Otherwise, every time you refresh your server, that file will reappear. If you don't want to totally delete the file, you could create two separate folders. One folder would have all the files you want to be seen and another folder that's not addressed as a server folder and you could just transfer the unwanted file into that one. That way, when you refresh, it will only refresh the files in folder 1. Hope this helps. Peace, JimS

        Hi Signals,

I copied over some iso files and for some reason it added a few movies twice. All I was trying to do was remove the extra entry from the display, not delete the actual iso file.

Does anyone know where to find the File Manager on DMS that is mentioned above? I can't find it anywhere. I'm on version 1.1.1 SDK version 1.0.1.0

Try it over the web manager. Just open your browser and enter http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:32080. (replace the X's with the IP number of your server).

I've done that as well as the Manager link in DVDFab10 but I never see a page similar to what is shown above with delete, rename, etc. options even if I click settings or any of the other links. I can't find that page on the MS itself either even if I select the HDD and use the filename mode.

Found my answer on a later thread. I'll try that first. There is no documentation on that for version 1.0.0.6 and above:

I can no longer find a selection in MS Manager to delete a movie. There used to be a "trash can" icon and now there is the "pencil" icon.
