Disney's little MP3 player is cheap, appealing to children, and difficult to find software for. A DVD to mixmax file would be an excellent addition to the best video software out there. The web is full of requests for a program that can convert to this format.

I actually have one of these devices and have done some experimenting with it. Haven't gotten really good results, but then the movie that came with it has pretty poor playback characteristics too. I got 3 of them really cheap (woot.com) and gave two of them to my nieces. The mix max is cheap and works well for young kids. SD cards are easy for them to change. I've experimented with the settings and have been unable to get one to work. I have digital copies that work, but don't know how to find out what the settings are.Comment

The digital copies that come with the MixMax are not readable by MediaInfo. Or VLC. Some kind of wierd format (.smv) for which there are several conflicting specs on the internet. I have tamed the Mix Max devil and have just posted a profile for it in the New Profiles thread in DVD to Mobile. You can find it here:
Some of the Disney movie cards for this are selling for $50 each on amazon (now that Disney has stopped support).
