    8.1.1.6 Problem

    I installed 8.1.1.6 Beta and DVDFab crashed. It simply went through the normal startup. It scanned the disc. Then scan bar went away and DVDFab simply shut off. I tried 3 different DVD's with 2 different burner drives. I re-installed 8.1.1.2 and DVDFab is working fine.

          Check "common settings"/"subpicture" if the "Do not preselect a subpicture track" box is ticked, untick it and give it a try.

              Like I said, I reverted to 8.1.1.2 and it was fine. In fact I failed to mention that DVDFab worked great with 8.1.1.5 which means the "subpicture track box" wouldn't be an issue.

              I'm going to wait until there is a new update and see what happens then.

                  That worked. But why am I now forced to select subtitles? What's the point of having the "Do not preselect any subpicture track" button if Fab crashes? I guess I'm just whining.

                    It's a minor bug and I'm sure the Devs have taken note of it.

                      They have noticed the reports in this thread and tried to duplicate it without success. I will try it also with v8.1.1.6.

                        Really? Well oddly enough 8.1.1.7 does not exhibit the “bug” behavior. You can now tick the “Do not preselect any subpicture track” box.
