    LiteOn iHES112

I bought a LiteOn iHES112 Blu-ray player. This is an internal SATA connected drive. Everything seems to be installed alright, and when I open Windows Media Player I can play the DVD in the drive without any issues, but DVDFab is acting really weird.

It will not open the DVD for about 10 minutes. It is just sitting there doing nothing, looking like it's hanging. Then it will show the "opening DVD" window, the one with the progress bar that keeps going, and it will keep going through the progress bar forever, never completing. I tired several DVDs and a blu ray, all with the same results.

My previous DVD player worked fine, no issues whatsoever, and I did not change any settings or software (well, I re-installed DVD Fab to see if that was the issue). There is no other ripping software running on my machine.

Is there anything I can look at or post up here to help you address this issue, or to help me fix this issue?

Also post your internal.log if your device still has problem.

Sorry for taking so long to post that up. It's been kind of busy.
Just take a look at how long everything takes.
This is the part that seems like nothing is happening:

DVDFab is having trouble communicating with the new drive. Please install DVDFab Inspector (free) and look on the filters tab and see what else is using low level access to the drive.

Then I have no guess, other than to check the BIOS and see if it has any settings for the optical drive or I/O that may effect this. When DVDFab queries the drive, the response is very slow, as shown in the log at 0:29.44 and the fact that it took an hour just to open the disc. Sometimes there are settings for the SATA controller or AHCI that will help in problems like this. Is it equally slow with a DVD in the drive?

////EDIT///////// In looking around on other forums, there have been reports of problems with this drive. Others report CD or DVD work OK, Blu-ray not so much. Not sure if that is what you are seeing.

I am still not in business with DVD Fab. DVDs have the same issue and I can't rip them either. Is there anything I can do to get this working?

I love DVDFab, and may just remove this drive and change back to DVD only so I have Fab back again.

                  Hi RobertDD
Do you have the drivers installed for your GPU?

Another thing to try Please Open Fab click the Click the Green at top right corner of the DVD Fab screen, and open Common Settings > General >DVD/ Blu-ray > Read>I/O Mode try changing the settings to either Auto, ASPI, or SPTI and see if Fab can now recognize the disc.
                  Hope this helps
