    IMGBurn

    I don't know what is actually happening with my IMGBurn software. This is the first time I started having problems with it. I tried to burn a copy of a movie (any) and it just won't do it. Here's a picture of what it does for 10 minutes or so. What do I need to do to fix this problem? Thanks.

      It is not communicating well with your drive. Note that the device buffer is empty. As Jon noted, the log would help determine what is happening.

          I agree your burning to fast even though your using Verbatim discs, try slowing it down to 8X.
          Have you also changed any of the settings in ImgBurn?
          Reason for asking is my buffer size it set to 40mb and yours is showing 80mb
          If so try setting your buffer to 40mb
          Open ImgBurn click tools>settings>build>page 2>top right is a slider , set it to 40mb and click OK.

            The new default buffer size is 80MB, if you have above a certain amount of RAM.

                During leadin writing that buffer is always empty. It's first when it starts to write the buffer is filled.

                Looks more as the burner has a hard time writing to those discs, try to slow down the burn as suggested in this thread.

                  I changed the buffer size to both 40mb and 20mb and still no luck. I forgot to ask about the size and sector sections, back then both were not set at zero. When I changed the buffer size, the sector and size were still the same, 0.

                    Did you try to slow down the write speed to 8x as suggested by CBR929?

                          I used imgburn before and now it won't wrk?
                          I had to reinstall my win 7 since then i can't get it to work wirh dvd 8.2.2.6
