I played the original disc - no subtitles and without any adjustment put in the backup and the subtitles were on. Something is turning them on and it's not a leftover player setting, popped the original back in and no subtitles.

I do not know of another way for this to happen if the IFOs are clean and they are not forced subs. I will pass it up the food chain. To eliminate even more remote possibilities, send me the same 2 IFO files, this time copy them from the burned disc that plays the subs when it should not.

Those are the ones I sent you signals, I thought those were the ones you wanted. Want them off the original?

Nah, if the ones you sent were from the burned disc itself, that is perfect.

Update: this is apparently not a DVDFab issue according to the experts, based on the evidence so far. Using Main Movie, the default arrow produces a unique signature in the VTS_01_0.IFO file when it is set (a pre-command) that is not present in the IFO file that 90312 sent me or the ones that I made to try to duplicate the problem. Try a completely different player that has never played the disc or folder (e.g. VLC).
