defaulted to clone

When I go to copy the program defaults to clone and I choose main movie.
I am running w8, dvdfab 9.1.4.0
I went through settings to look for a default change button no luck there so now I'm lost
can anyone help?

Select the Copy mode you want after you insert the disc. It should open with the same copy mode you used last.

I do not understand it, and I can't duplicate the problem. Possibly something related to that specific disc or the application/driver environment on your PC.

Default to clone

My DVD Copy is also defaulting to clone, rather than full disc or main movie. I've never cloned, only full disc or main movie. This is since the most recent update and there is nowhere to change the default. This is the third time with different discs so it's not any specific disc. It's the update to 9.1.9.9. It is a major, major pain to try to reset it to full disc, many extra steps and lots of lost time. Can anyone tell me how to fix this so it will default to full disc? Even when exiting and re-entering the program it doesn't go to the last setting I used; it always goes to clone.

What is your OS? It defaults to last used for Blu-ray for me, should for DVD also. Two clicks should bring it to Full Disc no matter what it opens with.

I suppose that the DVD disc does not read correctly for some reason.
DVDFab will change to Clone default when opening a data disc.

Did you use a DVD movie disc?

Would you please post dvdfab internal log file?

Or try these steps:
- Uninstall the old version and install the latest version 9199 first.
- Insert DVD disc to your DVD-ROM and wait Windows Explorer read done.
- Start DVDFab and see the result again.

I'm using windows 8.1.

Also, when I start the program without a disc in it keeps it at full disc. When I put a disc in it changes to clone so I have to hit cancel. But then if I switch it to full disc it keeps the clone task in the queue so I have to go into that and delete it and go back to restart it as a full copy, which most of the time doesn't work on the first try. It's the strangest thing.

And the last four discs I've tried now have been movie discs, from all different time periods (old and newer).

FYI, when I opened the program to get the log for you it was at copy full movie. When I just switched over to it to it, it had changed to clone on its own.

Maybe it's caused by the driver E.

Is it a Virtual Drive? Did you mout any file in driver E?

Drive E is an external dvd drive I plug in because my internal is crap and doesn't work most of the time. It's never given me a problem before; only after the most recent dvdfab update I did last week.

That code means "logical unit not supported". Try plugging the optical drive in before starting DVDFab and make sure windows recognizes it and can open a disc if you put one in. I would also suggest not using anything else on the USB controller while doing disc I/O.

Thanks, I usually do that but next time I'll wait a minute to make sure everything is working before starting the program. It still wants to go to clone and I am able to switch it after some work, so it is working. I'd just like it to default to the one I use all the time. Thanks for your help and I'll take any other suggestions anyone has.
