I have downloaded DVDFab 6.060 and installed it on one of my computers some time ago. I have used the free HD Decrypter part of DVDFab 5 before and it usually works great. I thought it should be the same with DVDFab 6. Not so.
Just a few moments ago I launched DVDFab 6, choose to use the free HD Decrypter, and launch the program. However, when I attempt to rip a DVD I own onto the hard disk, the program displayed a box saying I was about to "try" the DVD to DVD option. I have never encountered this situation before. In the past the program just went on to rip the DVD.
Previously there was once when I wrongly chose to use the DVD to DVD option and then that box appeared whenever I attempted to rip a DVD. But this time I was absolutely certain I chose the free HD Decrypter option and that box appeared out of nowhere. Now whenever I attempted to rip a DVD that same box appeared, even though I chose to use the free HD Decrypter option at start up.
I am only interested in the free part of the program and I have no intention of using other parts of the program at this time. I don't understand why I was told that I "tried" the DVD to DVD option. If this is your way to try to force me to pay for the use of the program, you have failed miserably. What if the trial period ends? Will I then be locked out of the program, even the free part? (The program upon launching now tells me the DVD to DVD option is already expired (in Chinese) but I am still told that I am about to try it when I attempt to rip a DVD.)
And please don't tell me to upgrade to the latest version for it is useless. I am well aware that once that trial box is activated it will never go away. I repeat: I just want to use the free part and I don't want to be bothered about the other parts of the program at this time. (And, the design of the launch box is pretty much to lure an unsuspecting user to click to launch and then the DVD to DVD trial will be activated. I need to choose to use the free part every time.)
