    Bad Ass

I tried to open Bad Ass blu-Ray.
Message "contains protection that there is no support for now."

    That does NOT sound good.

Same here, they are working on it. TMT5 would not play it either (without trying to charge me $99.95 again for a version update, which I declined).

On 8.1.7.8 I get no message, the loading dialog just disappears and the source states insert Blu-Ray disc.

Bad Ass with DVDFab 8.1.9.0 Qt

This version also gives the protection error. One thing i did notice is that my old version of Powerdvd 9 that came bundled with my blu-ray drive i bought a year or so ago, plays the movie fine. It took a while to load (could be downloading updates from the net) and started playing with no issues. Normally you would get a message to update the player but not this time.

Since StealthyClone came into the picture i have not run across this type of error in a very long time and caught me by surprise.

Is there any idea when this issue will be fixed?

The admin signals said they are working on it. The time depends on how tough it is to crack, if they can at all. I hope this isn't Cinavia's stronger, younger brother!

i can confirm its not Cinavia's younger stronger brother and i believe the fab developers will have a handle on it soon given the time and resources, as its already been handled by a backup route i ended up trying out anyway just to see if their version had it handled yet (two others routes have same issue) and it does as i was able to back it up to harddrive and then use dvdfab to remux into mkv.

BTW wanted to let u all know i like your product very much and only recently came across this new issue

Pretty sure it's a BD+ variant, maybe with a dose of java. They will have it soon hopefully.

                      Hi there,
Please check the disc now. It must be OK to open it. Enjoy yourself.

does this require a new download as i do not see any newer ones listed as of today?

                          Hi curt
                          No, it does not.
The keys are held on a server so that when a new movie comes out and Fab needs to be updated, you do not have to have a new release of Fab.

                            Hi curt,
Please lauch your Fab and insert the disc to check whether it can be opened or not.
Bad Ass (Region A, US) is supported. If you can open the disc, please post the internal log and tell us which region is the disc. Thanks.
