BD wont burn

No matter what movie I try blu rays wont burn. I have no problem copying DVD's but every blu ray go through all the way to writing step with no problem then tell me "Failed to burn DVD Do you want to burn again?" EVERY TIME. Please help!

That's 6X media isn't it? Why are you trying to burn at 1X? I would try 4X or at least 2X.

The VSO log says the drive does not support burning Blu-rays, only DVD and CD. ??

It also reports it is in PIO transfer mode, try the reset DMA button in Settings and then reboot.

So it's a BR reader huh, that explains all those weird results.

I have the same drive and it is a BR reader and won't burn a Blu-Ray disc.

Apparently. I have not looked it up, just going by the logs. The PIO may be the cause of some of the command problems.

Don't bother I bought the exact model as the OP and know for sure it's a reader. I don't ever intend to burn discs.

That drive does not burn Blu-Ray Dave. It will read them but it won't write them. I have one for making iso images to play on my media player I know for sure that particular drive you have won't ever burn a Blu-Ray disc.

Apparently it was the DMA after reset my second drive is burning right now as I type. Nether would burn before rest all tho I burnt blu ray with both.

Okay that disk didn't play. I just installed 9.0.1.6 tried it again and disk didn't even try to burn. This time I got this message

"I/O Error!

Retry Cancel"
