That's dirty pool Marty making me see I am constrained by using a Sandy Bridge MB with my Ivy Bridge CPU. That tidbit will probably force me to buy one now.

Still trying to determine make / model of motherboard. Tried Samsung support yesterday and they couldn't provide it. Not going to spend money on it from the lucidlogix site. DVDFab license is up for renewal, its always been slow and if I can't resolve this, I'll try something else.
If we limit the scope of focus to software only processing, what order of magnitude speed should I get to rip a BluRay to a directory on my hard drive using BD25. RIght now I'm trying Hunger Games with software only, lightning off, CPU turbo off (only way I've been able to get it to work at all) and it takes just under 6 hours.
I have tried disabling antivirus and firewall, and all non-essential services (iTunes services, Microsoft services to link to SkyDrive, etc) and its still this slow. I have a support e-mail running, but I'm not getting much meaningful guidance.
I tried removing DVDFab, deleting all DVDfab directories in Program files, and deleting registry keys associated with dvdfab and fabcore. After a reboot, I reloaded the product, rebooted and tried to process a movie I had imported to the C drive via BD50 to another directory in BD25.1080.
The first copy was using the default settings and as happened before, it started great, running at around 25MB/s with an estimated completion time of about 25 minutes. It processed up to 4% and the process speed started dropping and estimated time to complete went up. That continued over a 10 min perioduntil the processing sped went to 0 and the indicator disappeared. Overall progress never went beyond 4%.
I changed setting to software only, disabled lightning, turned off turbo CPU and changed memory usage from Auto to Normal. The copy worked, but took 51/2 hours.
I have a word file with screen shots and the new log, but I can't upload them as it says I don't sufficient quota to upload them.

Hello,
I have a i7 980x 12 GB and a ati hd5970 ram if i want to burn a Bluray to 25gb, i have the sames symptoms 10 min working full speed then everything goes to?
Is ther e a chance to fix this issue because i can't use the dvdfab 9 or 8 to burn any 25 BR when a compression from the video is needed, i try a lot of settingds nothing work.
Thanks to give us a answer how to fix that i don't have to buy a additionnal software i buy DVDFAB because he have to do his job as describe on the webpage.
Start windows Task Manager to check the CPU activity while it is compressing. All 8 cores should be busy, as much as 100%. Note: If you are reading and writing the same hard drive, the speed will be about half what it would be if you read an internal drive and write to a USB 3.0 or eSATA external drive.
ChazinCT: It clearly states at the end of your log "Intel GPU acceleration for video decoding enabled". Under Video Encoder and Video Decoder set everything to software. Lightning Recording and Turbo CPU should be enabled. The symptoms you describe are exactly what happens when you try to use Quick Sync but it isn't configured correctly.
DVDFab is trying to use Quick Sync, but if you have a discrete video card and VIRTU isn't installed and configured correctly, DVDFab will start and never finish.
I went through all this myself with my first Quick Sync capable CPU in January of last year.
To SIGNALS:
I ripped the br to a raid unit, the image that its burned after that is on another drive who is not part of the raid ( two separate physical units)
Both of you folks are showing this in the logs: Exception code: 0xc0000005 this is an access violation, many resources online to help you track it down. I'd start with memory, if you're lucky it's just a bad memory module.

Nope 90312 this crash came when i put the wiindow from backgroung to top.
Now if i had a problem with my memory why i can do all my BR reencoding with different and works?
I will do a memory check for precaution but i done it all ready several times, the issues freezing after 10 min come from DVDFAB
Why the software use all cpus when i tell him to use only 6 or 4 there is allready a problem.
