Seems to me now, that the way to avoid the Cinavia issue, is to stay disconnected to the Internet....

That is the culprit... Signal sent, and then the response seems to be that it's a Copy, and the Cinavia kicks in at 10 minutes into the movie...

Once a Cinavia problem is detected while connected to the internet, it apparently saves a "Cookie" like item onto your player, and doesn't allow to play... You will need to go into your settings, and reset to Default settings. Disconnect from the Internet, and the problem will be gone.
I just stay disconnected from the Internet, and don't have the issue to even worry about.

Unconnected to the Internet, and no issue..

I believe that's because you're using that Dynex player that doesn't currently have the Cinavia firmware in it. I remember thoroughly testing a player infected with it and whether I'm connected to the internet or not, after a while, that sucker mutes the audio! I do believe it may happen quicker if you have the device connected to the internet, though.

I never had the Cinavia issue with the audio, I had a freeze issue and it wouldn't read my regular copied DVD's.. Now alls good.

I bought it way back when based on your recommendation SuperFist.... and haven't been disapointed for 40.00..... and now alls good.... Never had a Cinavia issue with it... even with the upgraded Firmare.

          Thanks again.

Hey my Micca ep600 g2 media player has a eject button on the remote and doesn't explain whats it for.I have a second usb input could i also get a optical drive and have it show up as a dvd drive?
Is it possible to get a blu ray drive to play 3d that way through my media player that plays 3d from files or folders could it also play from disks what would i need? Should I get a external blu ray player with power supply like the Digistor drives?

This way i could have a 3d disk player that's cinavia free.
This will be great for me as I do a lot of testing and when it's a 3d disk problem I have to resort to the PlayStation that has its own problems with Fab made 3d disks.

I don't see why not Glenn, if they make a BD-ROM 3D drive you could save a few bucks and that's really all you need for playback.

That eject button may be for ejecting usb drives but a easy way to find out is take a dvdrom/bdrom etc find a extrnal.hdd case plug optical drive in and see if it will mount and see if eject button works before you purchase that $pricy dive

Can I take the 3d optical drive out of the PlayStation and somehow use it?
What could i use to power it up is their a converter wire with power supply that would work with it and output usb? I haven't installed a optical drive in years and forgot what wires come out of it.Could i use a wire harness with power supply like superfist is getting? even without a fancy box to put it in just to test for now.

I just remembered i have a back up hard drive I put in a enclosed case that has a converter cable and usb output and power supply i bet i can use that take the hard drive out and hook up the optical drive to it are the voltages the same I wonder for the optical drive and hard drive?

That sounds like a good plan. Try it!

You should be able to tell from the connectors.

It also sounds like a good plan to me.

Ok got the Sony PlayStation optical drive out has a foil ribbon cable with no connector just a strip with gold tiny end connectors says 60 volts other side is white/blue with a black stripe the ribbon cable is silver on both sides with other end plugged into circuit board attached to optical drive.

Power connector is tiny 4 hole male connector with 4 wires same as my computer.I am going to need to connect this to a power supply with cable adapter of some kind because my drive when taken apart has a big 4 prong power connector and a ribbon cable cut in strips yellow in color with a plastic connector that plugs in the hard drive so i can't use this.

Is the connector with power supply superfist getting the one i need?

I found my media players manual the eject button ejects the disk of a cd/dvd/bd-rom drive attached to the media player Yes this is going to work just need the correct cable and power supply can't wait to hook this up need help with cable/power supply needed.

Superfist can you give me a link to see if the cable your getting is the correct one for me?

I found a good way to get back at Sony use their optical drive to defeat the Cinavia problem they created in the very machine they infected (My playstation)

Dam I am loving this to no end. This project must be completed smells of victory.

This day will go down as the day i took my Sony to the levy but the levy was dry then the good old boys here resurrected my Sony from the day it died (from cinavia) and we didn't even drink any whiskey or rye.Now Glenns new machine will rock till the day that he dies and this my friends is no lie.
