This is a head scratcher as I never seen this issue before. What Anti-virus program are you using? What is the firewall protection you using? Try and disable them when installing DVDFab. No reason to uninstall as all you need to do is install overtop of the version you have installed already even if same version

What OS are you using, XP,Vista or W7? As different help is needed for different OS installed

Just curious. When you install DVDFab with the VSO option do you see the Pcouffin engine install?

Windows 7 64 Bit w/ Norton 360. I can try disabling it for a reinstall.

Yes I see a popup saying "pcouffin.sys" or something like that.

EDIT: Tried reinstalling without firewall/av and still no VSO

Make sure Norton is fully disabled and try again.

Check and see if PCSetup.exe and vso_hwe.dll are present in your \Program Files(x86)\DVDFab 7\ folder. If they are, double click on PCSetup.exe to see if it is operating correctly. A box should appear that shows the driver version number and in the white text area you should see the driver listed and be able to expand the "+" to see if it is communicating correctly with your OS and drives. See the attached image.
