    System crashed

When I use the software with any disc all processes complete until disc is ejected for blank disc insertion. At this point the entire system crashes. I have a new computer with Windows 7 64-bit and it is only happening on this computer. If I run the software 8.1.1.2 on my old computer with Windows Vista I have no problem. Any suggestions? My whole thing is to do away with old computer and be able to completely use my new one.

There was an old problem with the VSO burn engine before that caused this issue.
Try loading the Free version of imgburn and test it out, There is a tutorial in my sig from Troy on how to set it up.

Removal of new protections may not be available yet in the free version of DVDFab (HD Decrypter)

Ok installed 8.1.1.8 and same issue occurs. I am just besides myself about this. Crazy - have never had an issue before.

It may be a problem with the registry.

              1. uninstall DVDFab, I use the uninstaller in the start menu.
              2. search for, download CCleaner, it's free and will cleanup the registry and install.
              3. be sure to select the registry cleaner, looks like a Rubik's cube.
              4. Scan for registry issues until it finds none, may take up to three times. click on fix all issues, you don't need to save a backup.
reinstall 8.1.1.8 and give it a go.

                Hi HeatherVela
When installing Fab on a Windows 7 system you have to install as administrator.

Instead of clicking run click save then open the folder and right click and install the program as administrator.
                Hope this helps

Installed as administrator - running program to see if it works. Thanks for all the replies - still trying to fix the problem. Will let you know if this works but I have to run a complete copy to get eject of disc for blank disc because this is when system crashes. Thanks again!

Still did not work! Uninstalled, ran registry cleaner, reinstalled as administrator and nothing is working. Every time I run program it runs smoothly until disc eject for blank then system is still crashing!

Can't get a clearer shot. Was taken with camera because the computer crashes and has to be restarted. Don't know how to get a screenshot of it but it says driver_irql_not_or_less. Then says to disable or remove software and disable bios memory options such as caching and shadowing.

Try going into the Device Manager and removing (uninstalling) the DVD drive completely. Windows will pick it up and install it when you reboot the computer.

Uninstalling and reinstalling DVD drive did nothing. System still crashes at same point in copy!

Sounds like you are going from Disc to Disc

Have you tried just saving it to harddrive, close Fab and then try and burn with imgburn.

Is this a Laptop or Desktop ?

For testing try the 2 step approach.
