    Mortdecai Read Errors

ver. 9.1.9.9 gives a read error trying to read Mortdecai. I hit abort, it quit reading disc and went to the normal window with the disc size and compression %. I selected Main Movie and kept the 3.2 audio which gave me 90%. It went 69% through process and gave me another read error popup (retry,ignore...) I ignored it 3 times and then abort. Probably another Lionsgate protection. Disc looks fine. Attached are copies of the process log and the internal log

This (retry,ignore...) always baffled me .It never worked ..ever.When there is a problem on the disc etc.retry, ignore can't make it any better. Should be taken off all together

On that disc try disabling Pathplayer and selecting title 28 "Main Movie" may require an update for full disc.
How to post the internal log

        No titles

I disabled pathfinder and chose movie only, still did not get to any titles. Never did finish reading disc.

it still displayed the read error at 69% into the copy process
I think I may have a bad disc
I was watching the movie last night and it locked everything up (the software playing the disc, my mouse, I couldn't even manually eject the movie) I had to reboot. I restarted the movie and advanced it to just past the lock up spot, movie played fine for quit awhile longer then locked up again (not as bad as before) but still locked up. I got a rebate for the movie, will get another disc and retry later.

I had no reason to believe that was sure cure, everyone around the sphere is having a problem with that title and some can get a main movie and some can't, but nobody gets a full disc.

I have tested all known Region 1 versions of this title using Full Disc and they copy perfectly (no read errors) with v9.1.9.9. The disc requires a registered version of DVDFab; HD Decrypter (the free version) probably will not do it. PathPlayer must be set to Always Enable. Title 28 is correct for the Main Movie.

when I did Main Movie the title came up 17 at 1 hour 54 minutes
title 28 and a few other titles were at 1 hour 46 minutes
like I stated I think I had a bad disc,
it should not have locked up on me 2x while trying to watch it.

                        Mortdecai Disk Error

I trust my post is in the right area.
                        Subject: Mortdecai Region 1 Problem

The disk ripped successfully and was backed up using ImgBurn. ImgBurn was also successful. When I attempted to play the backup copy I received a disk error as follows: Eject Disk, playback feature may not be available on the disk.
                        Verbatim -R disk
                        Internal log follows:

It is in the perfect spot, but it is easier on the servers if you will attach the log file instead of pasting it in your post, per the instructions linked in my sig. Some logs are too long for pasting into the edit window also.

Your log matches mine, which plays back with no errors. What device or software gave you that message when you tried to play it? May have been a bad burn, what burn speed did you use?

                            Signals,

Well as it turns out, your suggested request sparked a thought to switch to an alternate computer to rip and burn the Mortdecqai disk. I use ImgBurn software for burning, and checked to see what write speed was selected. It was set at 16x and I decided to set it at 6x. The device I use to play back is a TV/DVD combo. I played the disk and happy to report it was flawless. After reading the other posts I thought for sure there would be a problem, and slightly confused seeing that you checked this disk and it was fine. Thanks for your help as always.

did you ever get it to work?
I purchased another disc from a different location...to avoid a bad lot.
I still got a read error, aborted process, it went to the menu (this time it said the main movie was title 28 @ 1:46:33) which is the title I tried manually (last time) on the other disc. I tried it any way (with pathplayer on, main movie, no 3.2 audio @ 93%) again at 69% it encountered a read error and quit (if it warned me I was in the other room and did not hear it).
I've been reading that some can and some can't, is there a workaround that I'm missing some where.
How can I get it to work??
I forgot to say this is all with ver. 9.2.0.0
