For me, just kept trying.

With the latest paid version of DVDFab, pathplayer on, movie only, I let it go, took ages about 10 minutes maybe, but eventually the list of files came up, as posted selected #21, and eventually worked, the longest time it has ever taken me to copy a DVD, but it DID work finally.

Would only backup with:
PathPlayer : Disabled
Ignore Errors
Select Title : 19

Plays back with no problems at all.

With PathPlayer 'Always Enabled' or 'Only When Necessary' the disc could not be read. Continued for over 15 minutes without opening.

Really weird this, I could NOT do it at all with pathplayer disabled, finally did it with pathplayer enabled, but it took probably 15-20 minutes to open the files, then the copy process took about an hour, I have never had one take anything like that long, but finally it DID work.

star trek 2009 main title is 20 for region 2

Thank you AlienX69 & icarson for your solution for this - just a note that for the region 2 dvd´s the main title is 20 (of course you can see the correct title for your region dvd by playing the movie in your pc player like windows media player and looking which title is played when the movie begin...)

Your method works great for Star Trek. Thanks for the tip mate it was a great help.

Summary method is...
Disable Pathplayer
Ignore all Errors
Use Main Movie
Use Title #21

This then uses VTS_07_01 to VTS_07_06 and creates 5 VOB files the last one is 999,574 kB in size

6.1.2.5 backs up tranformers fine but does not do Star Trek. I am having trouble with the movie only mode and will consider the 6.2.0.5 version as the hoipefull solution.

Simply using the movie only mode and selection 21 works (region 4) using 6.1.2.5. The repeated track format is the same as the transformers DVD, so this the new copy protection code that is out there. Obviously with 6.1.2.5 solving the transformers issue and not the Star Trek issue there is obvioulsy more to come on this front.

I have not tried 6.2.0.5 yet and will let you know

I did full disc to DL 9 and 1 also compressed to 5 ,
PathPlayer enabled

Did not look at title set since it worked.

Region 1 on Win 7 64 bit 4GB Ram

New release of Fab 6 looks like it takes care of the problem with the new Star Trek.
