I copied your PS.vita.xml into the profile3 directory and I can set the Bitrate to 1792kbps, but the converted ones are far less than what I set.

      Any clue why???

Was this with DVD or Blu-ray Ripper? I tested it with Blu-ray.

I just tried it again with v8.1.7.0 and got an output bitrate of about 3300 kbps, 1280x500, 24 fps (Battle: Los Angeles). It looks really good but the bitrate and b/p were a little less than I had set. It may be the codec preset files that it calls not supporting the higher values. I think you said the Vita was refusing to accept Main @ L4.1. The ones this profile makes are Main @ L3.1.

//EDIT// You are pushing the limits of what Main @ L3.1 will permit, see the table in this (scroll down): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC

I was using Blu Ray Ripper.

Anyway, the ones that were playable on both iPad, iPhone, and PSVita were using DVDFab to rip to MKV and convert to 720 mp4 using handbrake and the lastest version Apple TV 2 profile with Format profile: High@L3.1

I guess I have to do 2 steps in order to get the files viewable on all the platform I have.

            Anyway, thanks for your help.
