    BD Ripper (3D Plus) New build too slow

    I'm running 8.2.0.7 now and tried testing it to see if they fixed an old issue. So after starting the rip I walked away and came back about 45 minutes later to check the rip and to my shock I say my time left was about 5.5 hours!! It used to only take about 50 minutes to rip the extended version of Avatar not 6 hours. Some one please tell me what they did and please tell them to fix this.

    I just did Hunger Games to M4V using the iPhone4 1080 profile in just under an hour. Not sure what you are seeing, maybe others can report.

        Thanks, that is a much more useful log. Still not sure what problem it defines, but I will make sure the QA Team sees the post when the office opens.

          Hi dglidden,
          Please disable all GPU codecs for decoding and encoding in Common Settings->General->A/V Codec and try it again.

            Still too slow

            I've turned off CUDA and that actually made it slower. I've made a screen grab about 45 minutes into the rip to show how many frames a second I was getting.

                Noticed Same Slowdown

                I've noticed the same decrease in performance while ripping blurays. While using 8.1.6.3, I started to notice a decrease in performance; so, I upgraded to 8.2.0.8. Unfortunately, the performance seems to have only decreased even more. It is now processing around 9.5 fps whereas before it was around 30fps. I will try to look through my process log for examples of each.

                    Hi Unleashed
                    Try switching your codecs to software.

                    Open Fab click the Click the Green at top right corner of the DVD Fab screen, and open Common Settings > General >A/V Codec, put a check in Disable all GPU codes and make sure they are set to Software, restart Fab and try again.

                      Are there issues with the latest builds and using CUDA? I am having similar issues when trying to use my graphics card and the CUDA codecs. One of the reasons I purchased the product was the support for CUDA and the increased performance I could get with using my Graphics Card so I'm not spending 6 or 7 hours to rip a movie

                      Thanks

                          I did as suggested and disabled all GPU codecs and set it to use software for decoding; but unfortunately, I haven't seen any increase in performance. Here's a log after making your suggested changes.

                            1. Update your fab to the latest version 8210;

                            2. Reset DMA in Common Settings->General page;
                            3. Try other m2ts profiles, such as m2ts.passthrough, m2ts.ac3.normal and so on.

                              I installed the latest version, reset my dma and used IPad (which has always been a very fast conversion profile and it is still going to take well over 3 hours for a rip. This is very sad. Please fix this.
