Hello. I have been using DVDFab for a while, but have recently got a new NAS and now have the space to go through my blu-rays and make mkv copies for use with Plex and Raspbmc. So over the last month I've probably used DVDFab to make .mkv files of over 50 blu-rays using either the mkv.h264.audiocopy or mkv.h264.ac3 profiles.
However 4 refuse to work/complete successfully. They appear to get to 100% and then DVDFab crashes. I've filled in a few crash form reports but not every time!
A file of about the right size is left on the drive but is unplayable in VLC or WMP. When I attempt to open it in mkvmerge GUI it says that input file 'does not contain any tracks'.
The dvdfab.internal.process.log shows the final error;
error: filter name(509.01), type(128), id(14), get fatal exception
terminate process
error: filter name(509.01), type(128), id(14), get fatal exception
The 4 discs that this happens with are;
The Two Towers Extended UK, disc 1 & disc 2 (from the LOTR Extended Blu-ray boxset)
Alien (from Alien Anthology boxset)
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
Both Fellowship of the Ring and Return of the King discs from the same boxset worked OK, as did Aliens, Alien 3 & Alien Resurrection.
I have tried with both the mkv.remux (Alien resulted in c23.8GB file), mkv.h264.ac3 and mkv.h264.audiocopy profiles. I am using ver 8.2.2.6. I currently have all the encoding options set to software (after some audio sync problems with Inception, which the forum recommended to resolve, which it did.)
I used another bit of software to make a decrypted copy to hdd of one of the Two Towers disks, and then used this in DVDFab and the same thing happened, crash at 100%.
Was able to make a copy of Alien using both the mp4.h264.aac and the avi.h264.ac3 profiles, so I have a work around for my needs I guess.
Posting in case this is a bug. Other than using the other types of profile any thoughts on how to get these discs to mkv? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
