DVD Ripper Sound out of sync, please help

Hi, I've had DVD fab for a while but have not used it in a while. I just bought the "Bible" miniseries from the History channel, tried to record it but I have trouble with the sound syncing. I tried recording another movie, "Lincoln," but I have the same problem. I had not used DVD Fab because it's been a while since I bought a movie, but I really enjoyed the Bible miniseries and bought it and would like to keep it scratch free. Don't know what I'm doing, but here's a copy of my log, please explain what it all means!

I noticed that every month there's a new version being released. Should I just wait for the new version of DVD Fab 9? Will syncing problems be addressed? I noticed other users having problems with syncing. Or should I be looking for older versions??? But, will older versions be able to copy newer movies??? Please assist in trying to fix this problem. Should I record the movie again and copy and paste the logs? What else should I do?

This software is expensive but worth it. Now, if I can't make it work, it means that I just threw away the little money that I have. I'm not whining and complaining, I just want to be able to use this product without any problems, I really enjoy DVDFAB.

    Thanks

I was previously told to rip to iPhone4 and I could have a good copy for iPhone, iPad and my pc. Is this the best option? Usually I like to put my movies in iTunes and then I just connect my pc to the tv and watch the movies at home and on the iPad when traveling. What's the best option?

In the future, limit your threads to one question or topic each, start a new one for something unrelated to the thread title.

I don't have this title yet so I can't test it to see if the problem can be duplicated. The DVDFab staff is off until Sunday US time for a national holiday. If I can find the set I will try it. Other users may have the same problem and perhaps they will post in your thread.

I use the iPhone4 1080p profile for all my devices, Apple or not. For my TV I use a media player with a hard drive and use the original disc format (DVD or BD) made with Main Movie in the Copy module.

Thanks for the info and sorry for posting more than one request. So the problem with syncing could only be that it's a new movie?? I also recorded another old movie for test purposes and stncing was off. I had the same problem in the past with dvd fab 8. I was told how to fix it but dvd fab 9 looks different. It was something about disabling GPU.

Yes, I would try that. The controls are the same and are in Settings in v9, which you can access from the little icon that looks like a gear in the upper right. Then select AV Codec on the General tab and put a check in the box that says "Disable all GPU codecs for decoding and encoding". If that does not help, post new logs made after you change the codec settings for both titles.

I went to the settings and "disable all GPU decoding and encoding box is aleady checked. There's another box with a checkmark, "enable lighting recording". Should i uncheck this box?

Makes no difference, Lightning Recoding is only active in BD Copy and only if both the source and output are h264. I always leave both boxes checked, i.e. GPU off and Lightning Recoding on.

If you downloaded v9032 shortly after it was released, download it again and reinstall over the original. There were some quick changes made to the code that did not warrant a new version number but might make a difference.

Thanks for your response. I deleted DVD Fab 9 and downloaded the new version. I then checked the disable GPU box and both boxes now have a check (GPU and lightning-recording). I then recorded "Skyfall," a new movie but not as new. I still have syncing problems!!!! What am I doing wrong?? Attached is my log.

In advance settings there's an option for sound. Should I live it as it is or should I change it to stereo? Does it matter????

                    Hi Gabbanelli911
Not sure if you want to try this, how about an older version of Fab?
                    Download DVDFab 8.0.8.5
                    Hope this helps

                            Hi Gabbanelli911
The is not much difference between the two, different GUI and a few other fetures.

Version 8085 was the last stable version before the introduction of the QT versions.

I still have some versions of 8 installed and running along side version 9

I install them in their own directory on my C:drive so that I can have multiple versions installed without overwriting the others.

The version I posted will install in its own directory so no need to worry about overwriting your version 9.

I find version 8.1.3.2 rips DVDs to Xvid avi mp3 without any audio sync problems and is a lot faster (30% or more) than version 9 of DVD fab for ripping and uses much less resources.

This is under both Windows 8 and Windows Vista.
