BD Ripper (3D Plus) Sons of Anarchy Season 3 Blu-Ray

Greetings,

I'm fairly new to DVDFab, love the product and have been backing up my entire DVD/Blu Ray collection. Whenever I have an issue I quickly find the solution on here, however I've ran into a problem I cannot solve. When I try to rip Sons of Anarchy season 3 from Blu-Ray it won't open the Blu-Ray. The Blu-Ray plays no problem in my PS3. I've attached the log and tried this on 2 different Blu-Ray readers on my PC. Thanks in advance for any help.

I too am having the very same problem. I've tried 2 copies of Sons of Anarchy, Season 3 Disk 1, on 2 different PC's with 2 different bluray drives, and neither PC will read the disk. I also tried disk 2, but it also doesn't work. I'm now wondering if it's using some kind of weird protection that DVDFab can't read/decode/whatever. I've tried playing around with a few settings, but nothing seems to work. Below is the internal.log from disk 2. I can also attach the logs from disk 1, but it's pretty much the same.

I gave up, found season 3 on DVD at a garage sale this weekend for $5. Snagged it and will have to settle for DVD instead of 1080p quality. Surprised there was no response here at all.

I bought Seasons 1-4 as a boxed set, I couldn't rip any of the Season 3 disks. That said, I had a similar problem with GoT season 2 where one of the disks seemed to be bad, but it turned out, that it was just very slow (10-15 minutes) to load (showed the same behaviour in my BluRay player as well). With that experience in mind, I'll go back and try again with the SoA disks, maybe they are just very very slow to load.

Just tried again, and no luck, DVDFAB just says unable to open the disk.

Yeah, I tried 2 different copies of season 3 disk 1, and one copy of disk 2, on 2 different computers with 2 different drives. It's definitely some kind of DRM issue. Can anyone tell if season 3 uses BD+? If so, does DVDFab need to add it to some list or reverse engineer it or something?

Please post the DVDFab internal log from these discs. Looks like the same symptoms as other discs with gen 15 BD+.

My internal.log entries are above. Every attempt was exactly the same... only took a minute or so to fail, with a popup saying that DVDFab couldn't read from the disk, and to check it to make sure it wasn't dirty.

sorry but discussion of other software is not allowed here just wanted fab devolopers to know its not a bad disc but somthing else is causing this.problem give it time and fab will get a handle on this tittle

I get a message "Failed to open/Volumes/SONS_OF_ANARCHY_S3_D1. Please check if it's playable"

Definitely not a disc problem

I tried another BluRay ripper and it had no problems whatsoever, so this is definitely a DVDfab issue
